OBAMA SAYS DR. KING PAVED HIS WAY BUT KING WOULD REJECT OBAMA’S WARS
In his rousing speech to the NAACP, President Obama praised the civil rights leaders of the past whose sacrifices “began the journey that has led me” (to the White House). He neglected to mention, however, that the majority of those civil rights leaders, most notably Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., opposed the war in Viet Nam and, if they were alive today, likely would decry his escalation of the war in Afghanistan.

Today the Wall Street Journal is reporting that behind closed doors certain groups in the White House want Mr Greg Craig gone. The White House is denying that is so, but clearly there are leaks taking place about discussions in the White House. However the question should be is Mr Greg Craig doing a good job for the Democrats that elected his boss President Obama. I think the answer would be no and here is why. President Obama was elected by Democrats and independents in this country that sought change in the direction our country was headed. However, Mr Greg Craig as Legal Counsel to the President has just provided us with no change.
Five percent (5%) of the richest Americans own 95% of corporate stocks (Henwood, 1998; 2003). This means that five percent (5%) are reaping excessive and outrageous profits from a forsaking of the American workforce. Meanwhile, the vast majority of Americans are unemployed or underemployed. Those who are underemployed are being compensated anywhere between 20%-70% less in wages than their prior incomes.
From the McDonald’s McGriddle to Wendy’s “Baconator” to “baconnaise” to bacon-infused vodka, bacon has become a ubiquitous ingredient in many diets in this era of extreme food combinations.
