350 Day message: 300-350 ppm CO2

24 October is United Nations Day but has also been named 350 Day for global action by the organization 350.org that wants an atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration of no more than 350 parts per million (ppm). Top climate scientists now say that CO2 must be 300-350 ppm ASAP for a safe planet for all peoples and all species.

Wired magazine has revealed the investment arm of the Central Intelligence Agency has invested in a software firm called Visible Technologies that specializes in monitoring social media sites, including blogs, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter and Amazon.
